Surf coach / manager Full Time

About us

We are a smaller surf camp based in Kuta Lombok since 2015. We run small weekly groups with an average of 8 to 12 guests and we try to create a more personal, familiar experience. This said, I had many guests who left as friends and we still catch up after many years.

Who are we looking for

We are looking for a highly motivated surfer to overlook the day to day operations of our surf camp. The key requirements will be to make sure our guests are comfortable and have the time of their life.

Your objective is to create a consistently operational camp, upholding quality and striving to improve guest experience week on week. Apart from making sure that daily operations run smoothly, you must be able to follow up on our guests surfing progress and implement daily picture reviews for all levels of surfing.

Requirements

• experience in surf teaching/coaching
• hands on mentality
• basic understanding of hotel management
• excellent customer service skills as well as a business mindset
• independent decision-making and problem-solving attitude
• proficient in spoken and written English

Job description

• Welcome all camp guests at check in
• Make sure our guests are comfortable and have the time of their life
• Manage hotel operations to run smoothly between all departments: housekeeping, front office, restaurant and surf camp. (the hotel part basically runs itself)
• Ensure high quality service of the accommodation
• Handle all inquiries, complaints or any challenges at the camp
• Organise non-surf activities if there is no swell
• Take guests to sunsets after surf twice a week / dinner once a week
• Implement new initiatives and best practices. Share your ideas and help us grow
• Surf with the guests and keep up the stoke level on and off the water
• Social media duties (Instagram and Facebook)
• Keep the camera gear clean and operative
