Surf Camp Manager Opportunity in Ahangama, Sri Lanka
Are you passionate about surfing, community, and creating unforgettable experiences? We seek a dynamic Surf Camp Manager to lead our vibrant surf camp in Sri Lanka. With 24 guests a week and a strong emphasis on a family atmosphere, this role is perfect for someone who thrives in a close-knit environment and is eager to be the heart of our surf community.
Responsibilities:
Guest experience: Ensure every guest has an exceptional stay from check-in to check-out, managing all aspects of their experience including surfing activities, accommodation, and social events.
Team leadership: Lead, mentor, and inspire a diverse team, ensuring they have the tools and motivation to deliver outstanding service. You’ll be the key figure maintaining a positive team spirit and high morale.
Operations management: Oversee daily operations, ensuring smooth and efficient processes across the camp. From managing guest bookings and surf schedules to handling maintenance and ensuring meeting quality standards.
Community engagement: Actively engage with guests, organizing and participating in social activities that foster a sense of community. Address any guest concerns promptly, ensuring their satisfaction and the camp’s reputation.
Marketing & content: Support the marketing efforts by coordinating content creation and maintaining an active presence on social media to promote the camp and its activities.
Financial: Manage camp finances, including billing, payments, and payroll. Ensure all financial transactions are accurate and transparent.
Problem solving: Adapt to challenges as they arise, finding solutions swiftly to maintain the smooth operation of the camp.
Key Qualifications:
Age requirement: Must be 28 years or older.
Leadership experience: Proven experience in managing teams, ideally within the hospitality, tourism, or surf camp sectors. You are a natural leader who can inspire and guide a team to achieve their best.
Guest approach: A genuine passion for hosting and creating memorable experiences. Connecting with people and making them feel at home is key.
Organizational skills: Strong organizational talent with experience in managing operations. You are detail-oriented and capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
Language skills: Fluency in English is essential, with additional language skills being a plus.
Computer skills: Comfortable using digital tools such as Google Drive, Excel, and social media platforms to manage operations.
Resilience & adaptability: Calm under pressure with a positive, can do attitude. You thrive in dynamic environments and are always ready to adapt to new challenges.
