Graphic designer, Taghazout, Morocco Full Time

Surf Maroc are looking for a graphic design genius to come and do design stuff in Taghazout, Morocco.

We are on the lookout for design jack of all trades with experience in apparel/retail/product/print design.

We’re looking for someone who is super organized, proficient in Adobe Creative suite and passionate about the things we’re passionate about. Ideally, you’ll have a year or two of experience in a similar role. A design degree is an advantage but not essential, a driver’s license would be a good plus.

We are expanding our existing retail business and plan on developing all aspects of our existing retail line on to a new 200M2 space. You will be involved with our team in this amazing project assisting in the design and layout of the space as well as designing a new apparel and accessory range.

The successful candidate will be a self-motivated and strategic thinker with comprehensive design experience and a passion for Surf Maroc’s key lifestyle favs, surf and yoga.

Key Responsibilities & Skills

Creating or visualising an idea and producing a design by hand or using computer-aided design (CAD)

• Strongly skilled in Typography, gird, and layout
• Creative aesthetic that complements Surf Maroc design aesthetic
• Research market trends and translate into brand appropriate graphics
• Planning and developing the range working with others in the design team, such as owners, to develop products to meet a brief
• Understanding design from a technical perspective, i.e. producing patterns and technical specifications for designs
• End-to-end production understanding
• Adapting existing designs for production
• Developing a pattern that is cut and sewn into sample garments and supervising the creation of these, including fitting, detailing and adaptations
• Overseeing production/quality control
• Expert level attention to detail and strong organisational and communication skill
• Assertive and resourceful with a proven track record of getting it done.
