I am looking for a fit, competent and experience surf instructor to join the Sligo Surf Experience team for the summer 2025 season (May – Sept). It is preferred that applicant’s have or are willing to complete the Irish Surfing level 1 surf instructor course. ISA surf instructor qualifications are acceptable but the Irish Surfing qualification, valid for two years, is preferred. If you do not have the qualification, I am happy to book and pay for your course, and the payment can be deducted from your summer earnings.
Starting pay rate will depend on your experience. More experienced instructors will get a high rate of pay. Base rate is €50 for a 3 hour working shift.
You will be working with an experienced and fun team who deliver a high end service in one of Ireland’s top ranked surf school. Sligo Surf Experience is based in its own unit at the National Surf Centre in Strandhill. We have best-in-class facilities for customers and staff. You will need your own 5 mm wetsuit and boots. This can be supplied if necessary.
The amount of work varies according to the season and to how busy the surf school is. During peak season in July and August, you will have 2 – 3 lessons per day 5-6 days per week.
