We are looking to appoint a qualified Lecturer with experience in Geography; Marine Science; and/or Environmental Science who has a passion for marine sports in particular surfing, to teach on our FdSc Surf Science & technology. The successful applicant will have at least 2 years teaching /lecturing experience in a combination of some or all of the following subjects at HE level: Geography; Ecology and environmental sciences, marine sciences, GIS, research methods & quantitative analysis, material science, event management. We would anticipate that the applicant will have experience in the surfing industry, for example as a surf instructor, and will be a passionate advocate for the sustainable use of the environment.
You will join a team of FE and HE lecturers who teach across a suite of life science, conservation and marine environment degrees and level 3 qualifications on our campus next to Newquay Zoo in the heart of the UK’s surf capital on the Atlantic coast. The successful candidate will demonstrate flexibility and inspiration in their approach to teaching using the resources both in college and the wider hinterland of north Cornwall and the locale.
