Position Overview: We are seeking a professional, detail-oriented, and skilled Surfboard Ding Repairer to join our team. As a Surfboard Ding Repairer at WildMex, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of surfboards to ensure they are in top condition for our guests and staff. Your work will directly contribute to the safety and enjoyment of our surfing community.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess, repair, and maintain a variety of surfboards, including fixing dings, cracks, and other damage.
• Use appropriate materials and techniques to ensure durable and high-quality repairs.
• Safeguard and maintain surfboard repair tools and materials, ensuring a well-organized and clean workspace.
• Coordinate with surf instructors and management to prioritize repairs based on guest and operational needs.
• Maintain a log of repairs and surfboard maintenance to track the condition and longevity of the equipment.
• Offer advice to guests and staff on board care and maintenance to prolong the life of the equipment.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Participate in team meetings to discuss specific subjects and contribute ideas for improving the quality of our services.
• Assist with content creation related to surfboard repair and maintenance for our social media and marketing efforts.
• Support the team with occasional duties outside of board repair as needed.

Work Schedule:

• 9 to 5 (with 1 hour for lunch) Monday till Friday, 9 to 1 on Saturdays -39 hours a week (FULL TIME)
• Your presence is required during your scheduled shifts and for team meetings.

Proposed Start Date: To ensure that our service is adequately staffed and prepared for the Winter Season of 2024-2025, it is essential that our Surfboard Ding Repairer is available to work until April 30th, 2025. Your can arrive as soon as you like

Reporting Location: Wildmex La Lancha Branch

Days Off: Sundays

Modality: Full Time (Part Time position possible)

Trial Period: 30-day evaluation by both parties

Staff Accommodation: Our team members are offered accommodation benefits, which include a shared room with one or two individuals of the same gender in our staff complex at La Lancha. The accommodation comes with basic amenities such as a shared kitchen, hot water, drinking water, electricity, a washer and dryer, gas, and internet. A recovery fee of $2,000 pesos per month will be deducted from your biweekly payroll.
