Description:
We are a Surf & Adventure company with over 18 years of experience, focused on friendliness, fun, and safety. Based in Punta de Mita and Sayulita, Mexico, we offer surf lessons and trips, mountain bike trips, hikes, and various snorkel and boat tours. Our base staff is young, fun, and passionate about outdoor activities.
Our team consists of 35 members, including surf instructors, MTB guides, administrative personnel, front desk agents, guest services agents, drivers, and maintenance staff.
Volunteers are an integral part of our team, contributing to the welcoming atmosphere for our guests. Once you arrive, you might never want to leave!
Volunteer Application:
Our headquarters and volunteer accommodations are located at La Lancha Beach, a stunning surfing spot situated 45 minutes north of Puerto Vallarta, 5 minutes from the town of Punta Mita, and 20 minutes from the tourist town of Sayulita. We are not located in a town, so access to bars and nightlife is limited. This location is ideal for nature lovers, people who love to surf or want to learn, hike, make barbeques, and more.
Getting to the neighboring towns is relatively easy via public transport during the day, and you can use our free shuttle service to Sayulita, which operates 2-3 times a day. The minimum stay for volunteers is one month.

Accommodation:
Our staff and volunteer quarters are specially designed and built to host our team. They are located on a plot of land where our Surf Camp is being built at the entrance of Playa La Lancha in the Punta de Mita area. Our La Lancha Surf Shop is right next to the Surf Camp, and the volunteer quarters are 20 minutes away from our second location in Sayulita.
Volunteers and staff accommodations have access to Wi-Fi, shared bathrooms, hot water showers, laundry facilities, drinking water, a kitchen, plenty of common space to relax, and even a newly built swimming pool. There are six shared rooms for volunteers and 12 rooms for staff, accommodating a total of 24 people on our property.
This is a beautiful spot, perfect for those who love the outdoors and value nature. Access to nightlife and partying is virtually nonexistent. The complex is an eight-minute walk through the jungle to the best beginner and intermediate surfing beach in the area.
Access to other towns is simple via local public transport during the day. Groceries can be purchased at the small convenience shop next door, in any of the neighboring towns, or ordered online (so it’s not so secluded after all!).
IMPORTANT NOTE: There is absolutely NO DRUGS, SMOKING, or PARTYING allowed on the entire property (this includes the house, garden, stairs, parking lots, terrace…) or at either office in Sayulita or Punta de Mita. If you smoke at all, please do not apply for this experience.
Inclusions:
Free access to our standard and performance surfboards
Access to surfing lessons and excursions (subject to availability and provided it doesn’t interfere with your schedule)
Free shuttle service to Sayulita (subject to availability and provided it doesn’t interfere with your schedule)
Free access to surf shuttles (subject to availability and provided it doesn’t interfere with your schedule)
Please note: If any equipment you use is damaged, you will be responsible for the cost of repairs. We encourage you to purchase the optional $3 USD per day full-coverage insurance whenever you use a surfboard.
Exclusions:
Access to the bike inventory
Toiletries (please bring your own)
Digital Nomads:
Like everywhere in Mexico, our Wi-Fi is not always stable or high-speed. The internet at the volunteer house works 90% of the time. Volunteers can work in the living room, dining area, or at our office. We have a couple of empty desks available for use if needed. However, we can only host volunteers working online if their work schedule does not interfere with the volunteering schedule.
Hours Expected:
20 hours per week, with 2 days off per week, in exchange for accommodation and access to our surf equipment
Note
This space will be your home, as well as that of others. Since multiple people share the same complex, the most important aspects to keep in mind are RESPECT and CLEANLINESS. Please ensure that you clean up dishes immediately after use, take out the trash, help keep the kitchen tidy (cleaning supplies are provided), and keep personal belongings in your bedroom. It is the responsibility of both staff and volunteers to rotate and organize daily cleaning activities among themselves.
Please be aware that there are always multiple animals (both domestic and wild) in the complex. This may not be the right place for you if you have cat or dog allergies or if you are uncomfortable around wildlife, such as spiders, scorpions, snakes, frogs, etc.
Under no circumstances are visitors allowed in our living quarters without prior authorization
