·         Working as a General Operative I was in charge of maintaining a clean environment and workspace for other employees. Attention to detail was necessary at times due to particular areas requiring complete cleanliness.

·         Often, I was in charge of deliveries that the company we were receiving. This meant I had to be in constant communication with multiple others in order for the whole delivery process to run as smoothly as possible. This helped me improve my communication skills immensely.

·         Helped me to excel when working in team environments as I had to work with one or multiple other workers to complete tasks daily.

·         As I had no prior construction experience, I was initially out of my comfort zone which made me adapt to the new environment and learn the necessary skills in order to be an efficient worker.

Bowes Ryan Café:

(June 2018 – May 2019)

·         Encouraged me to utilize my customer service skills to the highest standards through constant interactions with customers. Some duties included were taking orders, clearing tables and handling the payment process.

·         There were only two waiters/waitresses on at any given time for 100 seats, meaning that we had to constantly be communicating with another to the highest level in order for the café to be running as efficiently as possible.

·         Due to the fact the café served food it was essential that the health and safety of the café was of a very high standard. As a result, I was in charge of deep cleaning the kitchen every evening after the food had stopped being served. This had to be done accurately as dealing with raw food requires complete cleanliness.
