How are you? I hope you’re doing good during these crazy times!
My name is Liza (29) from the Netherlands. I’m looking for a new adventure where I can combine working and surfing.
A little intro about me:
I am an active girl, who likes to be social with and helpfull to others. I do a lot of sports (yoga, surfskate, dance, hiking, biking, swimming) and love to be outside. Also, I love to cook and learn about new food. And my biggest passion is… surfing!
I have been travelling a lot and just came back from South America. Now I hope I can find a job that makes it possible to stay in one place for longer – to get to know the people, surroundings and culture. I worked (via WorkAway) in a hotel in Olón (Ecuador), where I could surf everyday and improve my Spanish a lot. I loved it there!
In the last ten years I worked in different restaurants (waitress/bar) and as an outdoor instructor. Afterwards, I worked as a physical education teacher for children and grown ups. Moreover, I was manager and teacher at ApenkooiGym, a start up that gives old fashioned sport classes (like dodge ball, tag games, etc) to grown ups. Currently I am a travel guide for disabled people.
Also, I discovered I really love to write. Therefore, I’ve just started with an internship (4hours p/w) at The Surf Office. I’ll be interviewing different companies, write a blog about it and provide some social media content.
So far my work experience. As you can see there are many things I can help with: socializing and making people feel welcome – cooking – keeping a location nice and clean – administrative tasks – answering e-mails – writing content / advertisement – grocery shopping – driving a car/minivan – organizing trips/activities – helping the surf instructors with surf classes (I don’t have certificates for teaching surf, but because of my background as a sports teacher I’m pretty good at giving tips and tricks) – teaching yoga classes and surfskate clinics. And of course I can help with whatever is needed at the moment.
I am available the whole period of August and September (and, if needed, maybe also July). My only ‘requirement’ is that there are good / enough waves…
I would love to be a part of the your team! In case of any questions or uncertainties, feel free to contact me.
Hope to hear from you soon,
