Raised in the Pacific Ocean in Huntington Beach, I began surf class in middle school and competed all throughout high school. A surfing scholarship allowed me to attend college, one of my biggest accomplishments was serving as President of the California State Long Beach Surf Club and leading a traveling competitive team which included first time surfers. Throughout these years, my career began as a certified surf instructor for an all girls surf school and grew to private lessons. My background includes supervising camps of up to 40 kids, up to 30 lessons a day (group of 4 max) on a beach break, and hosting visitors from several countries.
Immediately, upon graduation, I moved to Honolulu, Hawaii where I surfed on the reef (many fins were recked) daily at Sandy’s, Pipeline, Cabanas and Ala Moana Bowls. After several years of surfing perfect waves, I returned to Huntington and resumed my eighteen years of teaching surfing for Zack’s Inc. Recently, my surf travels have brought me to living in Guanacaste, Costa Rica seasonally.
