Profile
Having recently graduated from university, I am looking to work in a surf hostel in Bali, Costa Rica or Sri Lanka from the end of February to June 2022. Surfing has become a big part of my life since I started 3 years ago and I would love the chance to fully immerse myself in it for 3/4 months. I have lots of prior experience in hospitality, having worked as a waiter and barman at pubs and events, like weddings. Furthermore, I completed a ski season in Morzine in 19/20 winter season. I loved the seasonaire lifestyle, meeting new people and helping guests have the best time possible!

Employment
The Boutique Chalet Company (Dec 2019 – March 2020) – Morzine, France

·       Chalet host in luxury chalets, in ski resorts Les Gets and Morzine. Roles included driving, house-keeping and hosting.

·       I developed strong customer service and practical problem-solving skills whilst under pressure.

The Wheatsheaf (Aug– Dec 2019) – Kent

·       Barman and waiter in a gastro pub. My duties included taking orders, making drinks and cleaning.

·       The role helped me hone good customer service skills and how to work well as part of a team.

Vine Events, Urban Pantry Food, Mother Love Events LTD (June 2015– Sept 2018) – Kent

·       During my school/university holidays, I worked part time for an events catering company, which involved working at multiple locations across Kent for weddings, corporate events and private events. My duties involved setting up tables before meals, front of house, greeting and serving clients, serving food and drinks, and bar work.

·       Skills developed: good customer service, attention to detail, working effectively under time pressure, working well within a team, able to adapt quickly and efficiently to different situations.

Chalet Cook Training
Orchards Cookery Two Week Chalet Cooks Course, Nov 2019

·      Trained as a chalet chef with this residential course. Gained strong cooking skills and as such would be happy to help where I can in this respect.

Level 2 Food Safety Award in Catering, Nov 2019

Voluntary Work
Cambridge University Stimulus Program (January 2017 – June 2017)

·       Each week during university term time I worked as a voluntary tutor for underperforming GCSE students in local schools. My role involved working one to one with a student, teaching them the theory, working through examples and helping the student to solve problems.

·       This was a really satisfying role that let me help ambitious but struggling students. It was a great way to help the local community while at university.
