Surf School Manager – Instructor Assistant Part Time Temporary

Our El Ranchito Surf school has been existing for 8 years in Guanico, Panama. It’s the first surf school around this area. We offer surf lessons for beginner and intermediate. As well, surf board rentals and surf guiding.
For the upcoming season dec 2023 until end of April 2024 we are looking for a surf instructor who can assist us with the surf lessons and managing the surf school.
Requirements:
- Competent surfing ability on either a shortboard or longboard
- min 1 year experiences in teaching surf
- Lifeguard/swim coach/summer camp/sport coaching experience
- English fluency
- Another foreign language (german or french) is a plus
- Strong communication skills
Tasks:
- Teaching Absolute Beginners surf lessons only
- Assist Intermediate surf lessons
- Surf guiding
- Surf lesson preparation
- Managing surf rentals
- Taking Surfing pictures and videos
- Organize surf trips to other surf spots
- Selling surf lessons and surf trips
- Simple Maintenance work
It is a paid volunteer position with minimum working hours of 25h/week and one day off.
You will receive accommodation, food and free surf board rentals.
Additionally we pay you a fix amount for each surf lesson, photo/videos session, surf trip, and surf guiding session.
