Swim Teacher for children Full Time

We are looking for a passionate Swim Teacher to work with children aged 3 – 14 years old.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging swimming lessons for children aged 3 to 14 years.
• Teach water safety, basic swimming strokes, and confidence in the water.
• Adapt lessons to meet students’ developmental stages and skill levels.
• Work closely with surf instructors to align water safety and aquatic skills with the broader surf curriculum.
• Assist surf instructors during children’s surf program.
• Monitor students’ progress and maintain records.
• Ensure a safe and positive environment during all aquatic activities.
• Communicate effectively with school staff and parents about student progress.
• Supervise children in and around the pool, maintaining high safety standards.

Requirements

• Certified Swim Instructor (Red Cross, YMCA, ASCA, or equivalent).
• CPR and First Aid certification (child and adult).
• Minimum 1 year of teaching experience with children (preferably early childhood and/or primary).
• Native English or Native Spanish Speaker.
• Basic Surfing Skills are a plus.
• Basic understanding of child development and learning styles.
• Ability to manage small groups safely and effectively.Soft Skills

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Creativity to make lessons fun and engaging.
• Observant and safety-conscious at all times.
• Team-oriented, especially in coordination with the surf and sports program.
• Culturally sensitive and adaptable to a diverse student body.
