About Sagres Sun Stay

Sagres Sun Stay is an international hostel & surf camp located on Portugal’s southwest coast. We welcome travellers from all over the world who come for surfing, community, nature and unforgettable experiences.

We are a young, motivated and multicultural team working together to create a relaxed, social and positive atmosphere for our guests

The Position

We are looking for a Yoga Teamer to join our volunteer team and offer regular yoga sessions to our guests during the season.

Yoga is an important complement to surfing — helping with recovery, mobility and balance — and we want to offer accessible, enjoyable sessions for all levels.

You will:

Teach scheduled yoga classes (time varies according to surf)
Adapt classes for beginners and mixed-level groups
Help create a welcoming and encouraging atmosphere
Engage with guests and promote classes within the hostel
Support the team with hostel tasks when needed
Requirements:

Yoga certification (200h preferred)
Experience teaching group classes
Confident leading mixed-level sessions
Good English communication skills
Positive attitude and team spirit
Responsible and reliable
Minimum age 25 years old

Bonus:

Surf interest or experience
Additional wellness skills (meditation, breathwork, mobility, etc.)

What We Offer

The hostel has top new facilities including a swimming pool, out-door gym facilities, common spaces, co-work space, bar & restaurant, and separate accommodation only for teamers. Beaches are only 15 minutes walk away.

Teamers have a 6 days a week, 4h30 hours per day with 1 full day off and in return we offer:

Free accommodation in shared Teamer House
Free use of Teamers surfboards
Free loan of wetsuit (just pay 50€ in security deposit)
Free breakfast
50€ per month to cover small expenses – Only paid after 4 weeks work is completed.  In case you leave before min. 4 week agreement ends, you will not quality for payment.

RULES:

We expect all our staff/teamers to be flexible, and openminded for the tasks given. Also clean up after yourself, be responsible, contribute with a positive mindset, and respect the other teamers. As long as you are hard working always doing your best, we will be happy to welcome you in our team.

You will be introduced for general rules/procedures after arrival, before you start working.  The management can at any time cancel the agreement, if volunteer do not meet the expectations/house rules without any notice.
