Lastminute work exchange opportunity – Helping hand in a Yoga Veggie Surf Guesthouse Volunteer

Omassim Guesthouse is a small yoga, veggie and surf guesthouse located in Palhais / Ericeira, Portugal, offering 7-night all-inclusive retreat stays. Please check out our website / instagram / facebook for more information.

We are currently looking for one last-minute helping hand to join our team through a work exchange.

This role is depending on your skills, experience and interests, you may support in one or several of the areas listed below.
Not all tasks are expected from one person.

Areas where we currently need support:

* Kitchen – Breakfast Preparation (experience required)
We especially need someone who feels comfortable in a kitchen environment (Preparing the breakfast buffet – Starting around 7:00 so breakfast is ready by 8:30, You will be trained by our chef during the first days)

*General Guesthouse Support:
Walking our sweet Labrador “Chocolate” (8 years old) for about 1 hour in the afternoon
Picking up fresh bread in the morning by bike (7 minutes ride) / sometimes by car – driver’s license is a plus
Welcoming guests on Saturdays (arrival day)
placing sunchairs around the pool, taking them away in the evening
Light admin work such as sending pre-arrival emails (mostly copy-paste forms)
cleaning the yoga shala twice a week, and massage room (once a week)
taking Fotos / little videos and providing them to our social media manager (Capturing the atmosphere of the guesthouse)

* Only for the month of May:
Social Media – If you enjoy creating content and managing social media:
Managing Instagram & Facebook
Creating around 4 posts (including reels) per month
Posting stories regularly
Capturing the atmosphere of the guesthouse

What we offer: Free accommodation in a simple private room with shared bathroom with guests, All vegetarian meals included
1 day off per week, Maximum 24 hours per week (approx. 4 hours/day), Some days less, some days more,  free use of the facilities:
yoga shala, gym, living room, dining area, garden, pool, sauna, ice-bath

⚠️ Please note:
Surf lessons and surf equipment are not included in the work exchange. We collaborate with a separate surf school.

Availability: Arrival: latest 27 March (earlier is possible)
Minimum stay: 2 months

⚠️ Important:
We can only host one work exchanger at a time, so unfortunately we cannot accept couples or two friends together.
