Looking for IKO qualified kiteboarding instructors – Paracas, Peru Full Time

Perukite is looking for 2 qualified IKO kiteboarding instructors to join our team from November to April.

Perukite is based on the edge of Paracas National Reserve. We are a mobile kite school operating from Paracas Bay where we have incredible teaching conditions with shallow flat water in a huge U shaped bay and consistent wind through the high season (around 90% windy days). We offer kitesurfing lessons for all skill levels, equipment rentals, guided Surfaris and equipment sales.

Paracas Is such an incredible place as there are many kitesurfing locations to enjoy with flat water lagoons to cross offshore wave spots. On your free day’s there is lots of activities to do around Paracas from surfing to paragliding, trekking, sandboarding, sailing, quad biking and more (Our staff receive the cheapest prices on all activities).

Requirements

• We are looking for passionate people with a positive attitude, willingness to learn and have a strong work ethic and sense of responsibility towards your profession. Safety is our number one priority and we require you to be very safety cautious.
• You must be an experienced IKO qualified kiteboarding instructor with at least two years teaching experience
• You must have a valid driver’s license
• Speaking English and Spanish is mandatory
• Other languages and boat rescue experience is a plus!

This job suits the role of someone who is passionate about kitesurfing and teaching, someone who is willing to learn and be apart of a fun team and create a positive working environment.

You will have the mornings free as the wind doesn’t start until around 11am most days with wind lasting until the sun sets around 7pm.

You will be expected to be available during these hours, 6 days a week with 1 free day.

Your teaching hours will be 3-6 hours per day. (Average 8 hours of wind)

Help clean equipment with your students after lessons

Be an active team player on the beach helping with any beach assistants or customer service.

You will be free to ride before and after your lessons. And to join the Kite trips around the reserve on days you are not teaching.

What we offer

• Guarenteed hours/ Priority on lesson
• Fixed hourly rate of: $18 ph- Private lesson, $20 ph – Group lesson , 10% On any equipment sales,50% if you find your own clients
