simpl.surf is on a mission to share the stoke by building a culture of sustainability through shared ownership. We do this by building a platform where unused resources are shared to help surfers get in the water more. We build private, secure surfboard lockers on the unused space of beach-side homeowners. Surfers can then rent a locker to store their own board minutes from the beach. Alternatively, then can pay a low monthly fee to access our entire quiver of used boards lent out by locals.
This is a part-time, commission-based sales role that can grow as large as your ambition and imagination. You’ll lead outreach efforts to fill our first set of lockers in San Francisco and Half Moon Bay through direct outreach efforts by talking to surfers on the beach, handing out flyers and coming up with additional ideas of sharing the stoke.
With one sale per hour, you’ll be earning $50/hour.
Responsibilities
Lead in-person outreach efforts to convert customers for our lockers in San Francisco (north OB) and Half Moon Bay (Princeton Jetty)
Develop and experiment with new outreach ideas, including but certainly not limited to local brand collaborations and beach pop-ups
Understand the core offering and be able to speak to key value propositions
Requirements
Be sociable, outgoing and comfortable connecting with others
Have a love for surfing
Willingness to test new ideas
Previous sales experience a plus, not a requirement
