Surfer Factory based out of Jaco beach Costa Rica is a  premier surf school and we are now hiring the best surf instructors from around the world.

What we look for are dependable outgoing people who can communicate well, explaining the concepts of surfing in their own personable style using our structured teaching techniques. This is essentially a hospitality job; We’re here to keep people safe, teach, and entertain them. We strongly encourage women to apply and also beginner teachers. Experience is a must but we are willing to introduce our techniques and help you increase your level of safety and coaching.

REQUIREMENTS:

• AT LEAST 1 year of surfing/’waterman’ experience.
• Less than 1 year can be admitted with certain criteria.
• Certification / not mandatory
• Good with people; Good communication skills
• Absolutely NO criminal/arrest record
• CPR/First Aid certified (We can help certify)

BONUS POINTS FOR:

• Living /nearby / if planning to move to Costa Rica Housing can be provided to get settled
• Any past teaching experience in other backgrounds
• Lifeguard/swim coach/summer camp/sport coaching experience
• EMT/Paramedic experience
• English fluency/ Spanish 20% / French can be useful
• Yoga or physical education

We are a great, fun crew to work with :). The ‘vibe’ here is casual, but must be kept very professional and we try to reward good people for ‘going the extra mile by pushing their limits.
