Teamer at The Far End Surf House in Portugal Volunteer

Are you looking for a volunteer job with surfing? 🏄‍♀️

Our 2026 volunteer application process is now open 🌊 Join us for a wonderful season in Portugal where we enjoy great waves, delicious food and good vibes!

We are a small private surf house with close connections to our guests in Lourinha, Portugal and we want to make your volunteer experience with us a positive and rewarding one. We offer teamer spots for a minimum of 4 weeks between the 1st of March until the end of November.

In exchange for accommodation in a shared staff house, home cooked meals, all surf equipment, usage of our shared surf van and 1 free surf lesson we are looking for responsible, hands-on teamers to help us with the surf house for 4 hours a day (1 day off).

As we are located 10 min drive from the beach a driving license is required ☀️

Tasks may include: Housekeeping and room preparation, preparing breakfast or cut food, bathroom and kitchen cleaning, driving guests in a van, taking pictures, doing groceries or gardening.

What you can expect from the The Far End Surf House:

• Accommodation in a teamer house (team has own bathroom and kitchen).
• Daily free meals: breakfast(daily), lunch sandwich(daily) and dinner (5x per week)
• 1 free day a week
• Usage of surf equipment like surfboard and wetsuit
• 1 free surf lesson
• Usage of shared surf van in the area if available
• Introduction, training and feedback
• Support with issues and flexibility

What you bring to the team:

• Committed support running the surf house 4 hours per day on 6 days
• To perform my volunteering role to the best of my ability
• Be on time, reliable and committed team player
• Adhere to the organisation’s rules, procedures and standards
• Be sociable and approachable with guests
• Be resourceful with food, energy and take care of work related resources
• Have a valid driving license and experience driving for a manual car
• A good energy even in busy times
• Ability to speak English.
• Ability to be flexible & spontaneous, since surfing is a spontaneous sport.
