Volunteer housekeeping at Arrifana Surf School & Camp Volunteer

Are you a hospitable and well-organised housekeeper who wants to live in surfer’s paradise for a couple of months. Enjoying the best of what the Algarve has got to offer? We, Arrifana Surf School, provide high quality surf lessons since 2007 to international surfers from ultimate beginners to pro surfers. Our stable but demanding client base is still growing thanks to our team on the beach, Beach hut, Laundry Surf shop, Surf Camp and the office. Our know-how comes from our own passion for surfing and our love for Portugal. It’s our goal to keep on providing safe, top-service and fun surf experiences in one of the most beautiful surf locations in the world. Our SurfCamp is our headquarters where the best surftrips begin and end!

Duration/Scope:

• May-November with possibility of work in low-season and perspective of being set for 2023 high season.
• 6 days/ week – 5 hours/ day
• accommodation included

Requirements:

• +2 year experience in house keeping, hospitality, tourism industry
• ability to stay at least 2 months
• Driving license
• Available on Whatsapp
• Portuguese/ English speaking (German, French, Dutch are a plus)
• Punctual, reliable, responsible, hardworking, patient, well-organized
• Positive, happy, flexible and open personality
• Love for surfing and respect to the ocean
• Understanding and respecting covid19-related requirements and behaviours

Day-to-day operations

• cleaning & housekeeping of the hostel and outside area
• check-in and check-out of the guests
• helping out with rental board and wetsuits, taking care of the material
  and other things…
