Surf Instructor – Lagos, Algarve, Portugal Full Time Part Time

SURF INSTRUCTOR (FULL TIME & PART-TIME)

We’re looking for surf instructors who love to teach and are passionate about surf coaching. This is a unique opportunity that would suit an individual who’s willing to growth and become a good rounded surf coach.

The main aspect of the position is to deliver surf lessons to external clients daily. Your main goal here is to facilitate surf lessons for groups of 8 students at a time. We’ll provide internal and external training to be able to offer surf clinics for more advanced surfer including video coaching and surfskate lessons.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Level 1 Surf Coaching Certificate by the ISA, ASI or national governing body equivalent
RLSS, SLSGB Beach Lifeguard or Surf Coach Safety Certificate
Full driver’s license for driving in Europe
To be interested to learning our teaching methodology is a must

DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

No proven experience is required for the surf instructor position
Highly proficient in spoken and written English
Additional teaching/coaching experience is a plus
Additional language/s a plus (Dutch, German or Spanish preferable)
Basic knowledge of Portuguese is helpful but not essential

DATE OF EMPLOYMENT

The position is open from beginning of May until end of October.
