What the role is?

To maintain effective running of Selina Surf Club in all locations, teaching and overseeing general organisation, training, staff motivation and always looking for new ventures

What you will be doing:

• Sell to groups without intermediaries, using our communication tools (Rezdy, Web Site, Social Media).
• Create products (packages, camps, memberships, etc..)
• Create and oversee a marketing strategy to increase sales.
• Promotion
• ATL campaigns
• BTL campaigns
• Social Media
• SEO and SEM optimisation
• P.R.
• Content creation
• P.O.P material
• Create a categorisation by levels. Develop a clear way of assessing level to categorize each client
• Develop a Surf Club in all Selina locations near the best surf/kite spots.
• Develop great Surf Camps and packages, giving surf lovers many options to enjoy surf/kite in Selina Surf Club.
• Train Front Line and Explore Team periodically
• Include Surf as part of Membership project.
• Oversee and support Social Networks management, taking advantage of Rezdy potential and benefits.
• Promote Surf through massive channels.
• Create protocols for negotiations, payments, restock, guarantee, return policy shipping, applications, surf camps, surf
• packages, and surf trips management, maintenance and storage
• Guarantee sales of the surf products in retail
• Oversee surf hirings
• Form partnerships with surf operators
• Create events (competitions, contents, design, develop)
• Create procedures & controlling system and evaluations tools
• Follow up surf platforms campaigns with Marketing & Sales

Pre-opening:

• Propose new spots for locations
• Layout for Surf Clubs
• Approach to local surfers community
• Searching and interviews for Surf Supervisors and/or local partners
• Oversee & support development of SSC sections in website and App
• Oversee & support Social Networks management
• Oversee & optimisation online sales
• Create protocols for negotiations, payments, T&C, etc
• Get sponsorships for surf events (global level)
• Close negotiations with TOs, TAs and OTAs
• Oversee & collaboration with Communication Department and locations for photographers & filmers
• Contact with influencers (core Surf)
• Training to managers per location for protocols with Surf Camps & Packages
• Oversee & creation of Blog, Press & FAM Trips
• Support to all SSC Team

People Management:

• Help and support team members to enable them to optimize their performance

Surf Knowledge:

• Deep knowledge of water sports in general (kitesurf, SUP,…)
• Deep knowledge of the surf industry

Stakeholder Management:

Proactively approach building and managing effective relationships with other surf camps and schools managers, companies and individuals in the area.

What you need for the role:

ESSENTIAL

• Fluency in  English (Spanish is a plus)
• Minimum of 4 years working in tours/travels industry.
• Minimum of 6 years in management / project management.
• History of living and traveling within Latin America.
• Experience working with travel agencies and tours operators.
• Experience in sales and business management
• Experience working in the surf industry
• Experience organising large groups of people in outdoor activities
• Surfing background
• Quick problem solver
• Robust under pressure
• Strong leader with large groups of people
• Highly sociable
• Commercial awareness
• Communication skills
• High-level surf and surf conditions knowledge
