We are WildMex, a Surf & Adventure company with over 19 years of experience, focused on fun and safety. We are based at Punta de Mita and Sayulita, Mexico. We offer surf lessons and trips, mountain bike trips, hikes, and various snorkel and boat tours. Our team is young, energetic, and thrives in the outdoors, hands-on, health-conscious, and always up for a challenge.

We have 35 permanent staff members here at WildMex, in a range of roles including,  surf instructors, MTB guides, admin personnel, front desk agents, guest services agents, drivers, and maintenance.

Our volunteers are an integral part of our team, creating a welcoming atmosphere for our guests. Once you get here, you will never want to leave, trust us!

Our headquarters and volunteer accommodations are located at La Lancha Beach, an incredibly beautiful surf spot. It is located 45 minutes north of Puerto Vallarta, 5 minutes from the touristy town of Punta Mita, and 20 min from Sayulita. We’re based outside of town, so if you don’t have your own transport, getting to bars, shops, or nightlife can take a bit of planning. That said, it’s an ideal spot for surfers, hikers, and anyone who loves the outdoors or is looking to enjoy nature. If you’re after city buzz, this probably isn’t the place—but if you enjoy wide open spaces, the beach, and an active, outdoor lifestyle, you’ll love it here.

You can practice your Spanish with us as most of the staff and volunteers here will communicate in this language. Everyone is comfortable with English too.

Accommodation:
Our staff and volunteer quarters are specially designed and built to host our team, and are located at the entrance of Playa La Lancha in the Punta de Mita area. The volunteer quarters are 20 minutes away from our shop, in Sayulita.

The accommodation has access to WiFi, shared bathrooms, hot water showers, a laundry, a kitchen, a pool, and plenty of common space to hang out. There are 6 shared rooms for volunteers and 12 rooms for staff, to host a total of 24 volunteers or staff members.

This is a beautiful spot built for people who love the outdoors and value nature; access to nightlife and partying is nonexistent. The complex is situated at an 8 minutes jungle walk from the best beginner and intermediate surf beach in the area.

Transport to other towns is accessible during the day via local public transport. Groceries can be bought at the small convenience shop next door, at any of the neighboring towns, or ordered via the internet.

IMPORTANT NOTE: There are NO DRUGS, DRINKING, SMOKING, OR PARTYING allowed on the entire property or at either office in Sayulita or Punta de Mita. If you SMOKE AT ALL, please do not apply for this experience.

• Accommodation in a surf camp with other volunteers and team members.
• Access to staff board equipment (surfboards, boogie boards, and SUPs).
• Access to surf lessons and excursions (depends on the availability and that doesn’t affect your schedule).
• Free shuttle to Sayulita (depends on the availability and that it doesn’t affect your schedule).
• Free access to surf shuttles (depends on the availability and that it doesn’t affect your schedule)

*It is important to mention that if any equipment you use is damaged, you will have to pay for the damage. (We encourage you to pay the optional 3 USD a day full coverage insurance every time you use a surfboard).*

Please note:

Access to the bike inventory is excluded.
Food WILL NOT be provided. However, we do provide discounted meals at a local restaurant.

This will be your home, as well as to others. Since there are multiple people living in the same complex, sharing the space, the most important aspects to keep in mind are RESPECT and CLEANLINESS. This means cleaning up dishes right after use, keeping shared spaces tidy, and adhering to the cleaning schedule.
Please be aware that there are always multiple animals (domestic and non-domestic) in the complex. This is not the place to be if you have cat/dog allergies or if you are scared of wildlife (spiders, snakes, frogs, etc.)

Under absolutely no circumstances will visitors be permitted at the living quarters without previous authorization.
