Yoga teacher & Social Host – Ahangama, Sri Lanka Full Time

As a yoga Instructor & a social host, you are not only teaching yoga here at Global Surf Camp Kabalana. Along with an international team, you create a positive, friendly and motivating atmosphere at the camp.

Our yoga instructors teach one or two lessons per day, leaving a lot of flexibility to work on their own practice, share their knowledge with the guests and shape and prepare the yoga Shala to their liking. You will be responsible for the Yoga classes, it’s content and level of intensity to fit with guest needs and our philosophy. You are most likely an energetic soul who can make sure no one skips the morning class.

We believe that being a yogi, meaning spreading the lifestyle, and flow of loving, excepting and nourishing ourselves and others. Therefore, we are aiming that the yoga teacher will act as a good vibe captain out of the Shala, and maximize guest experiences while not surfing or practicing yoga with you. That’s meaning spending downtime with new guests in and out of the camp, every week, sharing life, experiences and special moments on our magical island.

With u as a social host, our guests will never get bored, because you will always find creative ways to entertain them, anything and everything that makes the experience for the guest’s fun, interactive and most important, unforgettable.

In our experiences, business and pleasure go well together, that’s why there won’t be normal working hours.

Requirements:

•  You can stay minimum of 3 months
• Confident English speaker
• Yoga alliance teaching certificate, minimum RYT200
• Provide a minimum of 3 references from yoga studios
• People person all the way since we believe everything starts and end with people
• Excellent social skills for handling customers’ expectations, reviews, and complaints
• The ability to work under pressure and always deliver an excellent customer experience
• Team player
• Creative mind and problem-solving ability to resolve issues as they arise swiftly and comfortably
• Passion for a lifestyle filled with traveling & exploring
• Share with the world your dream job, daily Insta stories on the Global surf
• Business orientation is a bonus if you want and can develop our wellness and Yoga retreats offerings

A big plus if you are a surfer or come with the intention to learn and head out in the waves every morning with our crew since our camp and the yoga program shall be around surfing.
